Welcome to TEA

TEA's 12th Biennial Conference - "Bridging the Gap"

E-mail Print

Approximately 100 participants attending 24 sessions and 12 exhibitors at the Kolpinghaus in Salzburg made the event a success.  We had a number of great speakers who provided information on how we can bridge the educational, technical and generational gaps within our teaching systems.  The participants also had a chance to network during our sparkling wine reception, our included lunch and coffee break and during our evening events.  Some of their comments are included below.

Please click on this link to see pictures of the conference.  Find your own picture or that of friends and share the information.  Because the event was so successful TEA is thinking of having conferences on an annual basis.  So watch the website, facebook page or check our electronic newsletter for more information.  Our Fall issue of the ELT News will, for the most part, have a review of the conference proceedings.

TEA-organized TA welcomes in Austrian regions

Burgenland

Thursday, 13 October, was a special day for seven TAs from Austria's smallest Bundesland who were greeted by Landtags President Gerhard Steier in the Landtags assembly hall. Following an introduction that featured the interesting history and language composition of Burgenland, a film was shown with geographical and historical highlights of the region. There was an opportunity for informal discussion over refreshments in the office of Lantags President Steier, during which the TAs learned about some of the notable features and customs of the area, such as wine, recreation, "Buschenschänke" and weddings.
