TEA is a member of IATEFL (International Association of Teacher of English as a Foreign Language) and works in association with the following English language teachers' associations in neighbouring countries:
Croatian Association of Teachers of English
International Teachers of a Foreign Language - Hungary
Association of English Teachers in the Czech Republic
ELTA in Germany
These connections between English teacher associations enable an exchange of the latest and newest developments in the English language teaching field.
Trainers interested in more information, whether they are involved in primary, secondary, college and university or teaching company seminars should contact us or check our links to these organisations. Our partners (click here to see who they are) enable us to offer our members many benefits, including discounts on English books, English theatre performances, English language events as well as workshops, seminars, summer schools and conferences held in the English language and in our region. Primary or elementary school teachers (Volksschulen) can find special information in our ELT News giving them tips on creative and fun ways to bring English to the classroom. All types of secondary teachers (AHS, BMHS) can also find interesting information in our ELT News and in our monthly electronic newsletter.
Our committee members (click here for more about us), are dedicated, enthusiastic professionals in the ELT sector who are eager to assist TEA members in finding or creating the best workshops and seminars disseminating the newest developments in English language training. We also are here to help teachers and teacher trainers of English language teaching in Austria through electronic means via our website and our newsletter and by publishing our bi-annual magazine ELT News.
