Barbara studies English at the University of Vienna. Despite setting out with the clear aim never to become a teacher, she, in the course of her studies discovered her interest in the field of second language acquisition and English foreign language teaching (especially ESP). From October 2008 onwards she spent about 8 months in Yorkshire where she taught German to English kids. At the moment she is working on her Magister thesis which is on the strategies used by foreign language learners to deal with difficulties in communication.
